After studying Human Sciences, Myriam Bouk Moun came to music by singing backing vocals in Cameroonian music. Two years later she started jazz and played with jazzmen of various esthetics. She also was a soloist for the American drummer Leon Parker. French press has described her voice as “limpid, moving, full of rich sonorities” conveying a “jazz open to the world, that takes you far away, very high”.
