Tapping Into The Vlogger Demographic Shure Introduces MOTIV™ MV88+ Video Kit In Taiwan

New livestreaming functions on Facebook and YouTube make vlogging a popular choice for content creators to build an intimate connection with their audience. Shure is responding to popular demand by launching its new MV88+ Video Kit, which allows vloggers bringing a superb sound quality to their fans anytime, anywhere. The MV88+ includes a stereo condenser microphone, windscreen, Manfrotto PIXI tripod, phone clamp, shoe-mount mic clip, USB-C and lightning cables that is designed to meet the different needs of content creators. Celebrating this major development milestone for mobile audio, a launch press conference of the MV88+ was held on 12 March in Taipei. The press conference was a resounding success with the attendance of virally popular band Lao Wang Band, million-subscriber YouTuber HowHow, live streamer Miss Water and an enormous crowd of Shure fans. Each of the invited guests eagerly shared their satisfying experiences with the MV88+.

The launch press conference of the MV88+ also marked a new era for the Shure brand. Shure has unveiled a new brand image and logo that represents its commitment to better serve the everyday consumer. Shure Senior Regional Sales Manager Clive Wan excitedly expressed, “Shure believes in creating connections through high quality audio. At the same time, we think that immersive audio shouldn’t be limited to the professional stage. With the updated branding, Shure aims to bring its industry-leading expertise for consumers to fully enjoy the vibrance of music and express themselves better on different platforms. Our recent introduction of the MOTIVTM Digital Microphone series furthers our consumer market provisions and has brought a higher standard for mobile recording. Shure’s latest addition to the series is the MV88+, which brings unrivaled convenience by transforming your smartphone into a portable sound studio.”

At the press conference, Howhow, Miss Water and Lao Wang Band took the opportunity to share their favorite aspects of the MV88+. For HowHow, being a YouTuber with a million subscribers has its problems. Audio production able to meet his perfectionist standards traditionally meant lugging around large pieces of equipment and attracting unwanted attention from fans. The MV88+ was the perfect solution for his struggles. Its small physical form with powerful recording capabilities was a natural fit for recording on the go; while the MOTIV application helped Howhow ensure accuracy of sound-pick up on any occasion with its real-time monitoring function.

Miss Water also shared similar sentiments with the MV88+. As a passionate live streamer, interacting with fans is a key part of her job. Thanks to the convenient, easy to use and highly portable design of the MV88+, live viewer interactions were made incredibly easy. The video kit is surprisingly light for its recording quality. The tripod is also simple to use whether it’s for hand-held or stationary recording. Topped off with its GSM immunity that prevent mobile signal from interfering outdoor livestreams, the MV88+ is the ideal choice for studio-level recordings that’s available anytime, anywhere.

The band members of Lao Wang Band are long-term supporters of Shure and their experience with the MV88+ has been equally positive. Tests of the MV88+ in their demo performances and rehearsals showed highly authentic and detailed sound output. The MOTIV Video App only elevated their experience further with its ability to change sound pick-up pattern, adjust GAIN and provide a suite of audio editing and sharing functions. Whether it’s Shure’s microphones or earphones, the band believes that Shure products have industry-leading technology and design paired with incredible reliability. Moreover, most of the band members are the loyal user of Shure’s in-ear monitoring equipment for countless of their Taiwan and overseas performances. The band is so much looking forward to stepping on the global stage with their Shure professional gear soon.

The MV88+ is available now at the official Taiwanese distributor GD Audio’s website and PChome’s official shopping platform for a suggested retail price of NT$7,690.
