LAS VEGAS, November 26, 2019 – “The Biggest Night in Latin Music” relied on Shure products to help produce a flawless audio performance. The 20th annual Latin Grammy Awards, held in Las Vegas and aired on Univision, featured a diverse group of artists from Latin America, Spain, Portugal, the U.S., and other countries. Co-hosted by Ricky Martin, Roselyn Sanchez and Paz Vega, the broadcast featured performances by Alessia Cara, Bad Bunny, Alicia Keys and others.

Audio provider Firehouse used 20 channels of Shure Axient® Digital to power nearly all of the artists at the show. Cara and Keys were among the artists that used Shure RF for their performances. Nearly all of the artists used Shure PSM1000 in-ear personal monitoring system.

For the tribute to icons, 11 Shure SM58 microphones were used. SM58s were also used by Paula Arenas, Sech featuring Darell, Intocable, Alejandro Sanz, and Xmina. Ozuna, Rosalia and Sebastian used mics from Shure’s KSM line.

“Shure mics give us a consistently great sound, that’s one less thing we have to worry about during a busy live show,” said Andrew Fletcher, front of house production mixer for the broadcast. “Shure Axient Digital was rock solid, our hosts worked all over the arena and the signal was strong everywhere.”

The show was also supported by front of house music lead Ron Reeves, production mixer Tom Holmes and music mixer Eric Schilling.

“The production team does such a fantastic job of making sure live events like this – featuring some of the top artists in the world – have superior audio quality,” said Jens Rothenburger, Director, Global Marketing for Pro Audio, Shure “We’re proud to supply the audio team with the right products to let them work their magic.”

Shure products were also in place at the podiums, which featured presenters such as Sofia Carson and Michael Pena.
