What is Sound Isolation?

Sound isolating earphones were originally developed as Personal Monitor Systems to allow musicians to hear their own performances in loud onstage environments.
They work by using soft, flexible sleeves to block background noise, allowing small, high-performance drivers to deliver incredibly precise sound directly to the ear. By selecting from an assortment of included soft sleeves, you are able to personalize the fit of the earphones to your ears.

What is a Triple TruAcoustic Microspeaker?

It is made up of three balanced armature drivers – one dedicated tweeter and dual woofers. It also includes an integrated passive crossover that ensures high and low frequencies remain distinct and defined.

How is Sound Isolation different from Noise Cancelling?

The seal created by a sound isolating earphone physically blocks most frequencies of background noise. Noise cancelling headphones are generally larger, heavier and battery driven. It uses active circuitry to counteract background noise, which may introduce unwanted artifacts in to your audio.

  • PC Format"These things are without a shadow of a doubt the finest pieces of audio technology ever to rattle my tympanic membrane"…."The audio quality is simply stunning, and even at the top of an MP3 player's volume knob, they don't distort. I can't even knock the things for being as expensive as they are: you want the best, you pays the most. And if these aren't the best, they're pretty bloody close to it".

  • Rob L - End User: I would like to complain bitterly about the Shure 530 PTH system that I recently bought. They are causing me to take long detours as I walk home from work in a desperate effort to run the battery of my iPod right down. Indeed, I am finding it hard - no, impossible, to take my Shure 530s out and stop the music once I have pressed Play... why I hear you ask? simple I say:
    My Shure 530s capture and render the *essence* of the music I listen to in a way that is simply *not natural *for man-made earphones, music on portable devices - *everyone knows this* - is tinny, hollow, distant, in a word: dead.
    And the Shure 530s designers clearly have not understood this, otherwise why design earphones that not only propel you into the very heart of the music, but sit you right next to the great Miles Davies in the 50th Anniversary year of Kind of Blue, or next to the Grand Piano of the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing the Planets, or on stage with Muse, or in a deep dark jazz cellar with Thelonius Monk, or behind the battery in a live jam session with the reincarnation of Cobane? No, sincerely, these earphones are not natural... music never sounded so good on the go - and so, I wish to complain.;
