SHA900 Portable Listening Amplifier

Portable Listening Amplifier

AMPLIFY YOUR SOUND SIGNATURE

Conceived to enhance all sound, the SHA900 was engineered for both earphones and headphones, your way, anywhere. Take control of the music with sophisticated customizable EQ function, allowing you to fully tune the tonal balance for your own sound signature.

Customizable EQ control

Not only work as a DAC amplifier, SHA900 also equipped with 4-band parametric EQ which features five preset settings, and four customizable settings, allow you to enjoy the original source or customize the music to suit your unique taste.

For earphone and headphone

Most of the amplifiers only work for high impedance devices, but we intended to design the SHA900 to have Wide impedance acceptance from 6 Ω to 600 Ω. Providing premium sound quality for both earphones and headphones with maximum flexibility.

EMI filter

With digital music streaming through mobile devices getting more popular, SHA900 is designed for perfect cohesion with smartphones including EMI filter to prevent electromagnetic interference from mobile phones without sacrificing audio quality

Customizable EQ

Four customizable settings

5 preset EQ settings

  • Low Boost preset

(Line in or USB in) - Frequencies at and below 125Hz are boosted by 5dB resulting in an increased energy of the low frequencies.

  • Vocal Boost

(Line in or USB in) - Frequencies from 2k to 5k are boosted to increase the clarity and detail of most of the lead instruments such as violin, guitar and also human voice. This preset can also called Clarity preset.

  • Loudness

(Line in or USB in) - This setting helps to accentuate the frequencies that can seem to be muted when listening with lower volume settings. Since our hearing has different relative sensitivities based on frequencies at different volume, the volume level can affect how we perceive the overall tonality.

  • De-ess

(Line in or USB in) - This setting helps to tame a harsh piece of music, traditionally a vocal piece that has an accentuated sibilance sound – often created when the singer produces the “S” sound. This sibilance falls into the frequency range somewhere between 4kHz and 10kHz.

  • FLAT

(only when using USB input) - This setting has no effect on the source material, all 4 of the frequency filter points are set to Zero.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is parametric EQ?
Parametric EQ allows the user to adjust Frequency, Gain or attenuation, and Bandwidth or Q factor of a given EQ filter.
The SHA900 can process both digital and analog input signals? What is the benefit of having both DAC and ADC functionality?
The SHA900 contains both DAC and ADC conversion, providing the flexibility to be used for both digital and analog inputs.
The digital-to-analog converter (DAC) allows for a digital audio signal to be converted from binary signal (1s and 0s) into the analog audio waveform that represents the original sound of the program material.
The analog-to-digital Converter (ADC) allows an analog source input to be converted into digital signal which can then be routed through the digital DSP (EQ) and then convert it back to analog after processing using the DAC.
Aren’t both headphones and earphones used with current products in the marketplace?
Ordinary “headphone amplifiers” have typically been focused on consumers using premium headphones, and have designed their amplifiers to perform accordingly to properly drive such high impedance products. While earphones could be used, as low impedance products they would susceptible to poor performance due to the mismatched impedance.
We intended to design the SHA900 to have Wide impedance acceptance from 6 Ω to 600 Ω, so it can be used on both earphones and headphones.
What devices does the SHA900 support?
It's compatible with Mac, PC, iOS and Android devices via included accessory assortment, featuring Micro-B to Lightning™ and Micro-B OTG cables.
Is it safe to use the SHA900 while charging?
Yes, the SHA900 is designed for use while charging from a laptop or the provided power supply.
Is it safe to charge the SHA900 with a portable battery bank?
The SHA900 can be charged by battery pack with the following specifications: 5V, 500mA min, 2A max input, max current draw at 1A.
What is the warranty period?
All SHA900 sold within the Asia pacific region have 2 years limited warranty.
