Shure Asia Limited, a dynamic US manufacturer with over 87 years as a leader in the Professional Audio Industry is now seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the expanding team as:

National Sales Manager (based in Tokyo)

Job Description:

The primary responsibility for this position will be to provide sales support to Shure customers in Japan. Reporting to Regional Sales Director, the sales manager will have full responsibility of Shure sales in given territory in Japan. Based in Japan, the sales manager will not only maintain current distribution channel but also develop new distribution channels to fairy diversify the Shure value chain in Japan. The sales manager will have a good knowledge of Japanese sales and business structure in Professional Audio industry as well as a certain level of technical understanding of audio products. The sales manager must have a strong negotiation and presentation skill.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day sales/channel management for distributors in Japan
  • Regularly visit to wholesales, shops and distributors for sales related activities
  • Propose and Implement Strategic Sales / Channel Plan in response to market changes
  • Work closely with wholesalers and distributors on promotional events and products seminar
  • Provide country-level sales analysis for value chain efficiency
  • Recommend and implement distribution changes when necessary
  • Recommend distributors ways to improve channel structure to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to end-users
  • Manage a team of engineers to support the distributors, channel partners and end-users
  • Work closely with marketing team on promotional event and materials, i.e. in shop user event
  • Coordinate with customer service team to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Prepare sales reports and memos for management review
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in a Business related subject
  • Minimum of 5 years domestic sales/channel management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years people management experience
  • Strong Business Acumen 
  • Knowledge in the industry of Microphone/ Earphone/ Headphone/ Radio Frequency Technology preferred
  • Knowledge of Professional or Consumer Audio, an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English, A MUST
  • Computer literate, experience with SAP, an advantage 
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Detail orientated
  • Willing to travel or on the road around 70%

Market Development Manager (based in Hong Kong)

Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing and Market Development, you will be responsible for providing marketing support to the customers within the Asia region. Based in Hong Kong, your primary responsibility is to understand the end-user business needs and translate into product concepts that drive our product development cycle, and also participate in new product development through Global Product Management Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of product development, including pricing, demand forecast, product/packaging refresh, specifications review, product deviation, technical/compatibility and compliance issues and collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Operation teams on volume forecasting, supply allocation, and actions against to inventory management
  • Participate in the Regional Product Launch Process by providing product availability information to regional Channel Marketing and Sales, secure samples for trade exhibitions, and ensuring that regional staffs are properly trained on new products prior to launch
  • Partner with the Marketing Communications team to define & adapt the product strategy, USPs, Value Proposition and Positioning Statement for the new product launch campaigns
  • Collaborate with other Business Units and Asia Pacific region on a regular basis to exchange market intelligence, technology trend and market needs and work with other functional departments identifying new market segments or niches/opportunities that may lead to product line extensions, or require product modification
  • Lead the product identification and respond to the region in driving the growth of the responsible product category and ensure customer requirements are well integrated into the product portfolio
  • Enhance training program effectiveness by develop education tools and multimedia material through other functional departments and provide training on product features and benefits to internal Shure Associates, business partners and media
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Degree holder or above in Marketing or other relevant discipline; qualification in Engineering or Electronics Engineering is an advantage
  • Minimum of 6 years marketing experience; experience in professional audio or audiovisual industry is desirable
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to plan from conception to execution
  • Detail oriented, disciplined and strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Putonghua is preferred
  • Computer Literate – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience with SAP is considered as an advantage
  • Willing to travel
